Toronto – The 2017 edition of Canadian Diversity, entitled “Racial profiling and human rights,” is now available on the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s (OHRC) website.
Canadian Diversity is a quarterly publication of the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS).
The essays in this special issue are the product of The Racial Profiling Policy Dialogue, a community-based initiative completed in February 2016 led by the OHRC in partnership with York University’s Centre for Human Rights, School of Public Policy and Administration, and Institute for Social Research.
All of the contributors to the issue were participants in the policy dialogue and offered substantial insights into the nature and consequences of racial profiling. Their essays provided insight on how to move the discussion forward in the framing of a policy within Ontario and elsewhere in Canada for the elimination of racial profiling.
